Final Triumph Lingerie "Inspiration Award" Vietnam
Lingerie giant Triumph held the grand finals for their prestigious " Triumph Inspiration Award" at the Equatorial Hotel last Thursday the 10th March. Founded in 2008, the Annual Triumph Inspiration Award (TIA) challenged students to use their talent, artistic vision and inspiration to conceptualize and design a unique lingerie showpiece for the theme “125 Years of Celebrating Women".
The Vietnam TIA Finals showcased some rather interesting creations, many of the outfits were fantasy character inspired, we saw hints of Barbella, Wonderwoman, GI Jane, Red Riding Hood and of course The Little Mermaid. The winner Vo Thi Quynh Nhu stood out from the pack with her futuristic “Notre Dame De Paris” ensemble. A student at Vmode Fashion Institution (HCMC), Quynh Nhu won acclaim from the judges and the audience for her innovative use of 3D form and a high tech dying process used on the fabric.
The lucky Miss Nhu has landed herself a cool 75 mill VND in prizes, 25 of which she can spend freely and the remainder will be used for the creation and promotion of her collection to enter the international final in Berlin this July. The clock is ticking with only a few months until the big day, we hope she will step up to the challenge and create an outfit to put Vietnam on the international lingerie design map.
